INTRODUCTION
I am a 22 year old Ugandan male who recently completed at Mbarara University of Science
and Technology the degree of Bachelor of Information Technology. I take keen interest in
technology and how we can use the power that technology gives us to make our communities
better places. As an Information Technology person, I am into web and mobile based
software development and programming, database management, system administration and
computer networking.
I have also been a freelance web developer/designer and graphics designer for close to
four years now and I have been blogging for as long.

2011 - to date
As a freelance web developer, I work on web based applications as well as website
design and development projects, programming, hosting, updating and maintaining them.
My work involves coding and implementing database driven web applications in PHP,
HTML5, CSS3 and using Content Management tools like Drupal, Joomla! And Word Press.
As a graphic designer comfortable with Adobe’s Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and
CorelDraw, I create corporate brandings like logos, design content for print magazines
and also use this skill in my web design work to come up with creative custom templates
and/or themes for websites.
ICT Intern/Webmaster | Institute of Interdisciplinary Training and Research

I have been an I.T intern and webmaster at Mbarara University’s Institute of
Interdisciplinary Training and Research since June, 2014. My assignments included
designing and implementing the institute’s website (iitr.must.ac.ug), updating and creating
content regularly for the website’s blog section as well as general house-keeping on the
website. Other assignments were, graphic design for the institute’s newsletters, booklets,
brochures and general I.T support in the institute computer labs and staff offices.

Feb 2012 – July 2012
Codinex Computers is an Information Technology firm based in Mbarara, Uganda. As an
IT intern, I worked in the Software Incubation department to develop software solutions
for businesses and worked as the webmaster, maintaining and updating the company
websites. Also, I worked as system administrator, maintaining the servers and company
computer systems.

Google is an American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and
products. These include search, cloud computing, software, and online advertising
technologies.
A Google Student Ambassador is a student that acts as liaison between Google and their
university. As a Google Student Ambassador (GSA) for Mbarara University of Science and
Technology, I learn about innovative Google products and programs and share them with
students and staff, plan and host fun events on campus, act as a campus contact for Google
teams and help Google better understand my university’s culture.
